What are Restylane® and Perlane®?Restylane and Perlane are a safe and natural cosmetic dermal fillers that restore volume and fullness to the skin to correct moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as smile lines (nasolabial folds). What are Restylane and Perlane made of?Restylane injections and Perlane injections are made of hyaluronic acid. In the human body, natural hyaluronic acid provides volume and fullness to the skin. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane and Perlane has been modified slightly to last longer than the body’s hyaluronic acid. The hyaluronic acid in Restylane and Perlane is produced by a biotechnical process. How are Restylane and Perlane different from each other?Restylane and Perlane contain stabilized hyaluronic acid, made by the same biotechnical process. The difference is Perlane is composed of larger gel particles than Restylane and is intended for deeper injection to volumize skin for correcting facial wrinkles and folds.
