Restylane® Kysse results may last up to 12 months; however, this can vary between patients. How long your results last can depend on your metabolism and the amount of filler used.
Does Restylane® Kysse treatment hurt?
Most patients tolerate Restylane® Kysse treatment well. We begin your treatment by applying a numbing cream to your lips before the injections are performed, which can help reduce the sensation of pinching or pressure that can be felt when getting filler. Since Restylane® Kysse also contains lidocaine, this may help reduce discomfort during treatment.
How much downtime is there after lip fillers?
Most lip fillers have little to no downtime. Many patients come in on their lunch breaks and return to work soon after their appointment. Some swelling and mild bruising may occur, but these effects are usually temporary.
For the first 24 hours after treatment, we recommend that you avoid strenuous exercise and excessive heat. You should also limit direct sun exposure and avoid tanning beds. Until any redness or swelling has improved, we also recommend that you avoid exposing the treated area to intense heat or cold.

Lip injections can sometimes trigger a recurrence, so medication may be recommended in advance to help reduce that risk.
Before treatment, you may also be advised to avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, St. John’s wort, or high-dose vitamin E unless your doctor has told you otherwise. These may increase the chance of bruising or bleeding at the injection sites.
