COVID Vaccine May Cause Swelling For Patients With Facial Fillers

Dr. Elizabeth Roche was featured in a New York CBS2 report on a potential side effect of the COVID vaccine, which can cause swelling in patients with facial fillers. As Dr. Max says in the report, however, it’s easily treatable, and it’s important that you receive the vaccine. Just be aware of the potential side effect and, as Dr. Roche says, treat the swelling with medications such as ibuprofen, Benadryl, or possibly a doctor-prescribed oral steroid in the unlikely case of the swelling being severe.
